Experts in the Building industry have identified unethical practices as the root cause of incessant building collapse across the country.

A cross section of experts led by the Chairman Of ArchiBuilt , Usman  Karaye made the revelation while addressing Journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, ahead of a with the theme Innovation in sustainable Construction".

Karaye accused most developers of cutting corners by using substandard products and untrained artisans in order to reduce cost.

He disclosed that professionals in the building sector are working in synergy with Federal Ministry of Housing to actively prevent and reduce reoccurrence of these incidences.

The chairman added that Government is working assiduously to proffer solutions to building with substandard products and untrained artisans by introducing penalty to anyone found guilty.

On the forthcoming conference, other members of the professional body, emphasized the need to educate students in the field, on modern days technologies and tools that are coming up in aiding the development of structures, build environment and new designs.
