The Federal Government has solicited the support of Swedish Government for the development of technical education in the country.

The Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman, made the Appeal while hosting the Ambassador of Sweden to Nigeria, Annika Hahn - Englung, who is onna working visit in Abuja.

Galaxy tv reports that Prof. Mamman, maintained that though Nigeria has signed some pacts with Government of Sweden saying, such would be looked into for more mutual bilateral relationship between the two countries.
He specifically solicited the support of the Swedish Government for the development of technical education as well as indigenous languages for sound educational development in the country.

The Minister promised the support of the Nigerian Government for the Government and people of Sweden towards sustaining the mutual relationship between both countries.

Speaking Earlier, the Ambassador of Sweden to Nigeria, Annika Hahn - Englung, lauded the composure of some Nigerians, especially students in the country noting that, they have been a good assets to the country. She declared the readiness of the government of Sweden to support educational Development in Nigeria noting that, her country looks forward to having more closer ties with Nigeria.
