The Edo State Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has expressed its readiness to conduct the forthcoming Governorship Election in the State scheduled for September 21st, 2024.

 

 

The Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr. Anugbum  Onuoha made this known at a one day Stakeholders meeting held at the commission,s headquarters in  Benin City the Edo State Capital.

 

 

According to the INEC REC, the commission has completed nine of the thirteen directives, as he assured that the remaining exercise will soon be completed in ensuring a seamless election come September 21st.

 

 

The stakeholders meeting was attended by party representatives, religious leaders, traditional rulers, security agents as well as civil society groups.
