One of the daughters of the Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa has tested positive to the dreaded coronavirus pandemic.

The Governor confirmed this in a statement made available to Galaxy news in Asaba the state capital, saying he is presently going on fourteen days isolation with his wife Edith as a result of the positive case of one of their daughters.

He stressed that COVID-19 is not a death sentence, hence the need for Deltans to make themselves available for testing in the various centres across the state.

Meanwhile, confirmed cases of the virus in Delta state have now risen to 609 with 419 cases active, while 159 persons have been discharged with twenty-one deaths.
