No fewer than ten persons have been killed and six persons severly injured in Antsa village in Makurdi local government area of Benue state following attack by suspected armed herders.

Antsa community came under attack about 1pm while some youths were still awake and traders rounding up as at the time the armed herders attacked.

Antsa Community is hosting student and the University of Agriculture of Makurdi surdi, now Joseph Serwaun Tarka University.

According to one the residents about six persons had their bodies cut., one had his finger cut and it was seen on the ground, before the hoodlums move to College of Advanced Professional Studies.(CAPS), where they also inflicts injuries on students before they ran away during shoot outs with soldiers.

Meanwhile angry youths block the road for hours burning tires.
