Former Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has been named manager of Chinese club Dalian Yifang. According to the BBC report, the Spaniard left the Magpies on Sunday, June 30, following the expiration of his contract, saying that the Premier League outfit “did not share his vision 

The move to the Asian nation will see Benitez replaces Choi Kang-hee, who quit his managerial role on Monday, July 1, "for personal reasons".

The Spaniard, who also had stints at Liverpool, Chelsea, Valencia and Real Madrid, got a £12m offer to join Dalian Yifang along with a welcome message to the club.

Benitez also led Newcastle to a 13th spot finish in the Premier League last campaign.
