APC Concludes Presidential Screening
The Presidential Screening Committee (PSC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded the screening of the party's presidential aspirants ahead of the June 6th Special Convention and Presidential primary.
The PSC screened all aspirants including Rochas Okorocha, who kept the committee waiting, stormed Transcorp Hilton Abuja, the venue of the screening at about 9.50 pm to beat the deadline of the screening.
Recall that, the former governor Rochas Okorocha was arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission last week Tuesday.
Speaking to journalists immediately after the screening, Rochas who was the last presidential aspirant to be screened by the PSC, commended the screening committee and expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their love, and further stated that he is into the race due to his love and passion for the country.
The screening exercise started with former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Dimeji Bankole had Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, former Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Oladimeji Bankole, Ekiti State governor, John Kayode Fayemi, and former Minister of Niger Delta Development, Senator Godswill Akpabio took a turn before the screening panel.
Also, the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, Tein Jack-Rich, former Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Christopher Ogbonnaya Onu, Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade and former Minister of Information, Ikeobasi Mokelu were also screened by the panel on the Last Day.
